Engagement Model
As soon as we get your inquiry, we will follow up with you within 24 hours to gather your requirements. From our side the participants typically include an onsite architect and a business analyst/sales manager. If required, an NDA can be signed prior to our discussion.
Typically, our architect will start discussing and proposing the technical stack based on your requirements on the initial call. Subsequently, a quote/proposal would be submitted to you within 24 hours after the call.
We generally offer the following engagement models:
Fixed price: This is typical when the client has well documented functional requirements for us to make a reasonable estimate on time and resources required. In this case SKT Lab is responsible for project management and final deliverables. Multiple milestones will be set during the course of the product development for client to review progress.
Time and material: Many of our customers prefer this model due to their interest in agile development.
The preferred engagement model by many of our clients involves a combination of onsite engineers and offshore engineers. The onsite engineer may take the role of a project leader and liaison for communication with the offshore team, which also aids in navigating the timezone difference.
We understand that your engagement model preference may vary from project to project. No matter what your preference, at SKT Lab we are flexible and can adapt to the engagement model of your choice.

eDianche
Our state of the art GPS Taxi system called eDianche allows a smart phone user to identify available taxies nearby for quick pickup. It also has a taxi reservation and car pooling feature. eDianche is currently being used by a number of metropolitan cities in China and is expanding quickly in Asia.

eCare
Designed for a healthcare organization focusing on children's heart disease, this system includes several main functions including Patient Portal/ Accounts (appointment, payment processing, insurance validation, medical record release, Rx refill request, school forms, Dysautonomia) and employee portal (payroll, calendar, Sick/vacation time, and recruitment).

TruVue
TruVue is a very flexible high-performance platform for all kinds of panoramic images and interactive virtual tours. It allows easy creation, editing, and publishing of content. Virtual hot spots (such as picture or video ads, real time stock quotes, etc) can be added to interact with visitors during the tour. This product has been widely used in industries such as tourism (virtual sight seeing), real estate (real estate for sale) and government (digital city, software park, public facility guide) as well as used by online retailers, high end clubs, hotels, restaurants, exhibitions and shows.
Technology: Technology stack for this solution includes Spring, Hibernate, MySQL, Cassandra, jquery, iOS, Android, Rest Web Service, Ajax + Javascripts. V1.0 Beta release running live on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Aliyun (for Chinese market).
Direct Marketing Automation
This was designed for one of the largest global direct marketing companies. The web based product allows customers of the company to define a marketing campaign by leveraging location based demographic data, and use GPS to track marketing material distribution. Features include customer targeting, distribution planning, execution, and monitoring using GPS tracking, geo fence, alerts, and real time monitoring and history reporting.
Technology: Microsoft ASP.net, Silverlight, Windows CWF, SQL Server 2008, Google Map API + Ajax web service.
Enterprise Cloud Drive
Enterprise Cloud Drive provides the functionalities of a cloud drive and includes end-to-end encryption on both client side and server (cloud side). All the files saved in the Enterprise Cloud Drive (both client side and server side) are encrypted. The encryption is transparent to the end user and the applications. As long as the user is authorized to access the file, the key for the client encryption will be sent down from the Enterprise Cloud Drive cloud and the encryption and decryption process are performed in the kernel mode.
Technology: The server architecture for the Enterprise Cloud Drive solution is based on HDFS/HBASE and OpenStack Storage Services. On the client side, it is developed using C/C++ in the Kernel mode on both Windows platform and Linux platform, and using Google protocol buffer + Boost asio for the network communication with the server.
Zaavio
Zaavio is an online and mobile reservation platform designed specifically for the restaurant industry. Consumers can take a virtual tour of any restaurant and select preferred seating and dining times. A hosted SaaS model to drive consumers to your restaurant so you do not have to worry about any technology maintenance or support. Our platform is highly scalable and robust and can support tens of millions of users making reservations simultaneously in real time.

Oil Reserve Management
Designed an oil reserves management software to manage wells and show reserve history, display reserve in real time and forecast the reserve in future for one of the largest oil & gas producers. Modules include reserves management, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
